Monday

  • Go over stations 1 & 2 from the Maps and Globes Tour with mini-lessons on types of maps, map projections, absolute and relative locations, latitude and longitude.

  • Did a quick review of land forms with giant flash cards

Wednesday

cataract waterfall occurs when a large amount of fast-moving water falls over a cliff.

A barrier island is a  long, narrow sand island that is parallel to the mainland and serves to protect the coast from erosion.

rift valley is a linear shaped lowland between several highlands or mountain ranges created by the action of a geologic rift or fault.

Thursday      Based on what was and wasn't graded, Thursday and Friday may be in different orders for different class periods.  Also, we will do the passport and Time Zone lesson on Tuesday.  This week we will watch the BrainPop video on Time Zones as a simplified introduction.
